FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As we are a team of therapists and trainers, we deal with assisted stretching, personal training and massage. We strive to use the knowledge we have to help our clients live healthier and better lives. Stretching makes muscles more flexible and joints more mobile. With training, we help clients to be stronger, more mobile, more agile and to look beautiful, while with therapeutic massages we break the triggers accumulated in the body and remove accumulated stress from the body. And we are here to listen to you and maybe make you laugh 🙂
A short tip is that before training you should do dynamic stretching, which would be an introduction to training and give a signal to the body that physical activity will soon follow. At the end of the training, you should do static stretching, which would stretch the muscles that were used until then and thus relax them. Additionally, you can stretch at any time of the day, as long as you do it consciously, in moderation, and while listening to your body’s current limits.
Depending on what your goal is, you can stretch daily (for the needs of a sport or after training), or you can stretch every second or third day to maintain muscle flexibility and maintain optimal range of motion. Stretch as much as is comfortable or as necessary for your condition or goal.
And if we talk about stretching in our country, 2 times a week would be quite enough to achieve progress in most cases, while once a week we can maintain the current state and make slower progress. We have clients who like this type of treatment very much and come to us 3 to 4 times a week 😊
Both in working with our therapist and on your own, make sure you reach a limit that is tolerable for you. We at the Stretch Center do not advise stretching to the limit, because of the possibility of injury, because the research itself says that it is necessary to stretch moderately but regularly, and that the best progress will occur. With us, you will feel more of a stretching sensation and mild discomfort than pain 🙂
Before starting the work, you will talk to the therapist about your current condition and you will explain to him where you have the injury and at what stage it is. Accordingly, the therapist will adjust the stretching treatment and work within the limits of the possibilities.
You need to schedule the treatments a few days in advance to get the appointment that suits you best. However, you can call for treatment on the same day, and we may have an appointment available. We usually publish the schedule of available appointments on the Instagram social network in the form of “Story”, and you can always simply call us and check if we have an available appointment – that’s the fastest way 🙂
You should come in clothes that are comfortable for you, like for training – a tracksuit, leggings or shorts and a t-shirt. Also, you need to bring clean socks. If you don’t have any of these with you, don’t worry, we have clothes you can rent from us for that treatment!
If you’re feeling stiff and feel the need for someone to stretch you and simply open up your joints, stretching is for you. Other signs include not being able to squat without pain or discomfort, turning around in the car to reach something in the back seat, or needing time in the morning to loosen up before moving normally.
If you’re under tension and stress, and feel persistent knots in your back, we recommend either a massage or a combination of stretching and massage.
And if you feel like your physical condition isn’t at its best and you need someone to guide and follow your progress, we suggest training!
Yes, we do! You can purchase any session, combination of sessions, or a session package to surprise a loved one for their birthday, reward your employees, or surprise your friends or business partners!
